A fresh cup of coffee and an array of wooden craftsmanship. These are just the beginning of what I want to offer my community.
My name is Kate and I’m on a journey of starting a small business called Kal’s Wood and Coffee where local woodworkers can find a place to display their artistry while others can enjoy a cup of coffee.
Kal’s Wood & Coffee is still in the beginning phases… in fact, we don’t even have a store front. But with your help, I’m excited to dedicate my passions towards making this vision a reality.
Kal’s Wood & Coffee is really just a fusion of two crafts. Between learning how to build a table and brew a proper pour over, I’ve fallen in love with the idea of inviting others into the same things that have offered me a deep sense of creativity and connection.
With six years of experience as a barista and currently working within both the design & build departments of a cabinetry shop, I feel ready to establish my own business engaging in both coffee and wood.
What’s the Vision?
Kal’s Wood & Coffee is still in its early stages—just a sapling. While I’d love to jump straight into fully operating a business, my husband and I aren’t quite ready to take that leap yet. For these beginning phases, I’m focusing on two main goals: building community and raising funds. A realistic milestone I have in mind is launching a mobile coffee and wood push cart within the next three years.
